I love writing, but it is not my only love. I also love interacting with my students at Northwest State Community College and other aspiring writers. Writing is sometimes hard work, but I believe that the outcomes are worth that work. Writers are given the unique opportunity to make positive changes to the world through the use of their words. I believe this is true for both academic and creative writing.
The information on this page is dedicated to writers looking for a little support along the way. As I tell my students, the image of a writer as a solitary figure sitting in a dark room drinking coffee and chain smoking is largely a myth. While this myth may be based on some aspects of reality related to time alone writing, I truly believe writers benefit from working together and learning from one another.
